What Kipchoge: The Last Milestone Is About

Jake Scott’s 2021 documentary follows the marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge in his attempt to become the first person to run the distance in under two hours. The attempt was not a sanctioned race but an event built for the purpose, with pacemakers, wind management and a route prepared for it. The film does not present the result as a miracle; it shows the preparation and the work of the team around him. Daily life at Kipchoge’s training camp in Kenya is in it too: the runners living communally, the plainness, the discipline. His coach Patrick Sang is the film’s second voice. It runs ninety minutes.
