La Vie d'artiste

The film is set in present day Paris. The paths of several people draw together. Bertrand teaches literature and writes novels. He is with Solange, who teaches mathematics. They try to keep the relationship hidden. There is nobody at the school who does not know, though. Hardly anyone thinks much of what he writes. One of his students, Frederic, does take him seriously. Bertrand cannot manage to finish his second novel. Cora, meanwhile, has just arrived in the city. She wants to sing and loves songwriters from another era. That taste keeps her outside the business. To get by she takes work at a restaurant. Things do not go well there either. Sandrine Kiberlain and Denis Podalydès appear in the hundred and seven minute film, a French production Marc Fitoussi finished in 2007.
