Les Démons de Jésus

The end of the sixties, in the western suburbs of Paris. A large, loud family lives in a house that is falling down around them and spends most of its time at each other's throats. The title comes from one of them. There is less plot here than there is daily noise, argument and small calculation inside one house. Bernie Bonvoisin used to front the band Trust; the films he made after moving into cinema found their own audience in France. This one is coarse, loud, and unexpectedly tender at moments. It is also remembered for showing French suburban life of that period without dressing it up. Thierry Frémont, Yann Collette, Patrick Bouchitey and Victor Lanoux star.
