Let It Be Morning

Sami left the village where he was born years ago. He built a life for himself in the city. He comes back for his brother’s wedding. His wife and child are with him. The village is a Palestinian one inside the borders of Israel. As the wedding ends he prepares to go back. The ways out have been closed, though. The army surrounds the village. Nobody can go in or come out. No explanation is given and no end date. As the days pass the food runs short. People’s nerves begin to fray. The villagers tell Sami that this is his home. Sami knows how far he has moved from it. Alex Bakri and Juna Suleiman appear in the hundred and one minute film, a French and Israeli co-production Eran Kolirin finished in 2021.
