Life Beyond Me

Sylvie’s son Felipe was taken four years ago by his father. After the divorce, Pablo took the boy and left the country. The French authorities tracked the two of them down once and then lost them again. From that point Sylvie decides to take the matter into her own hands. She goes to where her son is living and tries to bring him back. But Felipe is inside another life now and has his own idea of things. The film brings what the child wants into the account as well. It shows both sides without saying which of them is right. Isabelle Carré and Ramzy Bedia appear in Olivier Peyon’s ninety six minute film, a joint Uruguayan and French production, completed in 2017.
