What Look Is About
The film is built entirely out of security camera footage. Stockrooms, car parks, a police car, a shopping mall, a changing room, a petrol station. The stories brush against each other. Tony, a store manager, has affairs with the women who work under him. Sherri, a high school student, sets a trap for her teacher Berry. A man watches children in the food court. Two thieves take to the road and kill everyone in their way. Nobody knows they are being watched, and all of it is on tape. Adam Rifkin directs; ninety-eight minutes. The premise is a claim: a person passes in front of cameras dozens of times a day. Every scene is shot from a fixed angle, from above and at a distance. The actors are not known faces, and the film does that deliberately.
