What Looking for Magical Doremi Is About
Three women are brought together by a magic gem: a twenty-seven-year-old office worker in Tokyo, a twenty-two-year-old in her final year at university, and a twenty-year-old working part time at an okonomiyaki shop in Hiroshima. What they share is having watched the same cartoon as children; travelling to places connected with Doremi, they remember things they had forgotten as adults. It was made for the twentieth anniversary of the Ojamajo Doremi series; the director Junichi Sato was one of the original creators and Haruka Kamatani was directing for the first time. Yoshihiko Umakoshi did the character design and Midori Kuriyama wrote it. Toei released it on 13 November 2020.
