Louis

The documentary is about Louis van Gaal. Van Gaal is one of the best known coaches in Dutch football. Everyone has an opinion about him. Some are fond of him and some are not. The film was shot over three years. The camera followed both his work and his private moments. His background is told alongside his career. Where he came from, his family, what he cares about. Dutch and foreign players speak. His wife and daughters speak as well. What they say adds up to a portrait. The portrait puts the man on the touchline beside the man at home. He was in charge of the national side while it was being filmed. Louis van Gaal tells his own story in the hundred and twenty eight minute documentary, a Dutch production Geertjan Lassche finished in 2022.
