Love Letters

Céline and Nadia are married. Nadia is pregnant and will give birth in three months. The child is both of theirs, but in law Céline is not the mother; to become one she has to apply to adopt and assemble a file of documents. One of the things required is this: letters from people close to her saying this woman will be a good mother. Gathering them, Céline runs into her own mother, her friends, and her own hesitations. The birth is coming and the file is still not complete. Alice Douard directs the French film; ninety-seven minutes, with Ella Rumpf as Céline, Monia Chokri as Nadia and Noémie Lvovsky in the cast. It is Douard's first feature and was shown in Critics' Week at Cannes. The title comes from those letters.
