Uthaman and Nikitha are together and want to marry. Her father sets a condition: for one day they will swap phones. They will read each other's, look through everything and delete nothing. It was made on a low budget and took a very large success at the box office, becoming one of the most discussed Tamil productions of its year. Its idea rests on a single constraint and the film never leaves it. The narrative neither saves the relationship nor condemns it; it leaves both sides equally exposed. The humour works through recognition; phone habits and ways of messaging are its direct material. The father sets the frame and states the argument in the last section. Its last section returns to a shape and the message is delivered directly. Its limit is approach; the narrative is crude in places and judges the woman more harshly. Who it is for: viewers who like Tamil comedy about the young and relationship narratives. Who it is not for: the humour is crude, the ending didactic, and the view uneven.
