Maa Oori Polimera 2

Anil Viswanath's 2023 Telugu film opens after a series of killings in a village. Komaraih has fled to Kerala with the woman he loves. When his brother goes missing, a new sub-inspector opens the case. The film keeps village belief and crime intertwined; the narrative does not entirely reject a supernatural explanation and holds both possibilities open to the end. It is the second film in a series and requires the earlier part. The tone is dark and the violence frequent. The production is small. Who it's for: those who like Telugu village horror and crime thrillers. Who it's not for: viewers who have not seen the first film; the narrative assumes it.
