Making Love

Prague, a summer night in 1968. Costanza is sitting in a beer hall when a violinist comes in and plays a canone inverso for her. There is a history behind that music and that violin, and it concerns her. The story goes back to Prague before the war, to two young men at the music academy, Jeno Varga and his friend, studying together. Then the war, the difference in their class, and a woman come between them. Ricky Tognazzi adapted it from Paolo Maurensig's novel. Gabriel Byrne is in the cast. The music here is the narration itself; the violin is the only thing connecting two lives.
