What Man Up! Is About
Tom is sixteen and starting at a new school after being expelled from the last one, hoping to find a place, make friends and get somewhere with the girl he likes. His guide through all of it is his older brother Léo, who works hard at turning him into what he calls a real man. Léo's constant presence stops being support and becomes pressure, and Tom finding his own path comes to mean getting out from under him. Benjamin Parent's first feature is built as much on grief as on adolescence.
