Melting Away

When Shlomo finds women’s clothes in his child’s room he decides to teach the boy a lesson. One night, coming home from a party, the child finds the door locked; the mother has quietly agreed to it. Four years later, with the father dying of cancer, the mother goes to a detective agency and starts looking for her child. The person being looked for is now a woman who performs in Tel Aviv under the name Anna. Anna arrives at the hospital as a private nurse supposedly sent by the insurance company and begins caring for her father without telling him who she is. The film keeps the rejection inside a family and the caring for one another in the same room. Doron Eran’s eighty six minute Israeli film was completed in 2011.
