Montford: The Chickasaw Rancher

Montford T. Johnson was a Chickasaw man. He lived in the nineteenth century. He was orphaned young. Heavy losses followed. He started raising cattle all the same. In time he built a large ranching operation. It ran along the Chisholm Trail. That trail was one of the best known cattle routes in America. The film is drawn from his life. It is put together as a western. Chickasaw Nation Productions made it. It was filmed in 2017 and came out in 2021. The story is told from his own side. Mackenzie Astin, Dermot Mulroney, Martin Sensmeier and Tatanka Means appear in the ninety six minute film, an American production Nathan Frankowski finished in 2021.
