Multiverse

Four university students are running an experiment in quantum entanglement, and just as it starts to work one of them dies in a car crash. Five months later she is back with no knowledge of having died, because the experiment succeeded in a way nobody planned. What follows is each of them confronting a double, and the group working out that only one version can remain in this reality. Gaurav Seth directs on a small budget, which puts the weight on the performers and the cutting rather than on effects. The interesting part is ethical rather than scientific: who decides which version deserves to keep living. In some territories the film is called Entangled. Who it is for: viewers who like small-scale science fiction built on a premise. Who it is not for: anyone wanting spectacle, since almost all of this is conversation.
