To a Land Unknown

Chatila and Reda are cousins. The two of them are stuck in Athens. To get out they need to buy fake passports. They are saving money for that. It was money hard to come by. Then Reda loses it to his addiction. At that point Chatila makes an extreme plan. The plan is to pose as smugglers. The aim is to get out of the situation before it is too late. The account is built on the bond between the two cousins. Displacement and desperation are the film’s subject. Mahmood Bakri and Aram Sabbah take the leads, with Angeliki Papoulia also in the cast, in Mahdi Fleifel’s Greek, French, British, Dutch, Saudi, Qatari and Palestinian coproduction of 2025.
