What My Bodyguard Is About
Clifford starts at a new Chicago high school because of his father's job. A bully named Moody collects everyone's lunch money there and beats whoever will not pay. Clifford refuses and tries something else: he pays Ricky, the big silent boy the whole class is afraid of, to act as his bodyguard. What begins as an arrangement turns into a real friendship as the loneliness of both of them surfaces. The reason for Ricky's silence is the most affecting thing in the film. It is Adam Baldwin's first film, with Matt Dillon as the bully.
