Navy Blue and Gold

Three young men enter the naval academy. The school is the academy of the United States Navy. The training is hard from the start. The discipline is severe and the days are long. Not everyone can keep the pace. In time the three of them hold on to each other. A friendship grows between them. They keep each other standing. The school’s football team comes into it as well. What happens on the field carries weight inside the academy. The story moves between those two grounds. Getting through the training is the real matter. Robert Young, James Stewart, Lionel Barrymore and Florence Rice appear in the ninety four minute film, an American production Sam Wood finished in 1937.
