What Neverwas Is About
Zach Riley gives up a university post to work at Millwood, a private psychiatric hospital. What he does not mention is that his father, T.L. Pierson, who wrote the children's classic Neverwas, spent his last years there. Zach's real purpose is to trace the father he never got to know. At the hospital he meets Gabriel, who believes the book's world is real and that he came out of that story, and the more Zach listens the less he is sure of. A crowded cast: McKellen, Eckhart, Nolte, Jessica Lange.
