What Northwest Is About

Casper is eighteen, the oldest of three, and he keeps his household going by burgling houses for Jamal, the man who runs their corner of the Nordvest district in Copenhagen. When Jamal's rival Björn makes him a better offer he takes it without thinking, moves into drugs and prostitution, and pulls his younger brother along with him. As the two bosses close on each other his family ends up in the middle. Michael Noer directs alone for the first time here, after making the prison film R with Tobias Lindholm. Gustav and Oscar Dyekjær Giese, who play the brothers, are brothers, and neither had acted professionally before.
