What Number 55 Is About
In the autumn of 1991 a small group of Croatian soldiers goes out on patrol in a home made armoured vehicle. Soon they are ambushed, their vehicle is destroyed and they have to take shelter in a nearby house. The house is surrounded and the attack lasts twenty four hours, while the other soldiers of their unit try to get them out. The film rests on an event that really happened during the war in Croatia and tells it entirely from the side of the men under siege; the other side is given no separate room, and it is worth watching with that frame in mind. Goran Bogdan appears in Kristijan Milic’s ninety minute Croatian film, completed in 2014.
