Nuts for Love

Two Argentine former lovers meet again several times across the years. The first meeting happens at a concert. The second falls in the days of the World Cup, the third during the war over the islands the British call the Falklands. The film runs the relationship along the same line as the country’s history. Each meeting finds both of them changed. How time wears love down matters here as much as the love itself. The hundred and three minutes carry the years that lie between these meetings. Gastón Pauls and Ariadna Gil appear in Alberto Lecchi’s film, a joint Argentine and Spanish production, completed in 2000.
