What Once Around Is About
Renata belongs to a tight Italian-American family in Boston. After her engagement collapses she goes to a real-estate seminar to get herself back together and meets Sam: much older, endlessly talkative, buying presents for everyone, never quiet. She falls for him. Her family cannot swallow the man from the first day, her father least of all. It is less a love story than a question of whether a family can accept an outsider. Lasse Hallström's first American film. Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter and Danny Aiello star.
