One Last Evening

The account is set in the summer of the pandemic. A young couple decide to move. They are going from Hanover to Berlin. Before they go they put on a dinner. The idea is to say goodbye to their friends. But the evening does not go as planned. The close friends they expected cancel. Uninvited people turn up instead. Tension at the table rises slowly. As the wine goes round mouths open. Hidden longings come out. One misunderstanding follows another. Everyone argues their own case. The account plays out inside a privileged circle. This comfortable looking circle is something else inside. Sebastian Jakob Doppelbauer and Pauline Werner appear in the ninety one minute film, a German production Lukas Nathrath finished in 2023.
