Ozhivudivasathe Kali

On an election holiday five friends come together to drink. Their only intention is to enjoy themselves and rest. As time passes the hidden hardness in their own natures begins to come out. Tired and bored with arguing, they propose a game, one they used to play as children. The film does not build that game as innocent amusement; it shows how the differences of caste and class among them seep into its rules. The account takes place in one house on one day, and the outside enters only through the news. The ending is not stated openly but is made unavoidable. Nisthar Ahamed plays the lead in Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s hundred and four minute Malayalam film, completed in 2016.
