Pikadero

There is a young couple. They live in the Basque Country in Spain. Neither of them has proper work. The economic crisis in the country has locked everything up. So they are both still living in their parents’ houses. Their relationship has only just begun. But they cannot find anywhere to be alone. At home there are parents, outside there is cold and company. Every attempt runs into an obstacle. The situation is as wearing as it is funny. The film tells it with a calm and distant humour. The shots are long and the reactions measured. Behind it lies a generation unable to build a life of its own. Bárbara Goenaga, Joseba Usabiaga and Lander Otaola appear in the ninety eight minute film, a British and Spanish production Ben Sharrock finished in 2017.
