Detectives from the Warsaw homicide squad are after a dangerous criminal. But what the film is actually about is the detectives: whose marriage is failing, who drinks, who plants evidence, who takes money on the side. As the pursuit goes on the lines blur, and the methods they use to catch the man start to resemble his own. Nobody in it is entirely clean. Patryk Vega directs, drawing on what he observed as a reporter working alongside the police. It uses the street language and the police slang as they are. Marcin Dorociński and Janusz Gajos star. It was a considerable success in Poland and produced a television series and a number of sequels.
