Ollie is running for mayor. The campaign seems to be going well. Then someone from the past turns up. An old flame is holding something over him. She wants money to keep quiet. Ollie has to host a dinner party at his house that evening. He cannot go and meet her. Stan ends up in the middle of the whole business. Nothing anyone does makes it better. The woman walks into the middle of the party. The house turns to chaos at once. The film is a Spanish language version of a Laurel and Hardy short. The scenes were reshot with the pair delivering their lines in Spanish. Extra variety turns were added to stretch it to feature length. Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy appear in the fifty six minute film, an American production James W. Horne finished in 1931.
