Polar Bear: Spy on the Ice

The documentary takes up polar bears. The polar bear is the greatest predator on land. The film gets closer to it than ever before. It does that with hidden cameras. The cameras reach into the daily life of the animals. What comes out of it is a close portrait. The account looks at the intelligence of the bears. Their curiosity is inside it too. Those two things help them to survive. For the ice is shrinking in the world they live in. The film shows the effect of that shrinking as well. David Tennant narrates it. The filming was done in the polar region, and Norway is among the places seen. The work is put together as a nature documentary, in John Downer’s American film of 2011, which runs a hundred minutes.
