What Polar Bear Is About
On his way to a primary school reunion, Heriberto gives two old friends a lift. The two with him are Flor and Trujillo. As the drive goes on it becomes clear that these were the ones who bullied him as a child. Heriberto tries to make a connection again. But Flor and Trujillo set up the same arrangement they had back then. The journey moves through mishaps, old stories and drink. The film looks at what bullying leaves behind even years later. The work was shot from beginning to end on mobile phones. Humberto Busto and Verónica Toussaint appear in Marcelo Tobar’s Mexican film of 2017.
