What Private Parts Is About
A broadcaster trying to get a foothold in radio is fired from every station for not following the rules, and finally builds a show of his own. As he rises, his marriage strains. The film uses his own account and is not shy about mocking him; the narrative mainly follows the tension between the marriage and the career. That second line keeps it from being a promotional exercise. Betty Thomas directed. Howard Stern plays himself and most of the radio team appear as themselves. A real warning: there are many sexual jokes and explicit scenes. It deliberately keeps the register of the show itself.
