What Pu-239 Is About
Timofey Berezin works at a decaying nuclear plant in Russia and takes a lethal dose of radiation while preventing an accident there. His employers do not tell him how bad it is, and by the time he understands, he has days. That leaves one question, which is what his wife and son are going to live on. His answer is to steal a quantity of plutonium and try to sell it on the Moscow black market, with a spectacularly incompetent criminal for a partner. Scott Z. Burns directed, his first time out, from a story by Ken Kalfus.
