A musician who lives out of his car, working his way from town to town and singing his barbed satirical songs to whoever will listen, decides he has hit bottom after a booking mishap at a charity event. He moves to Los Angeles to shake things up and his luck turns overnight, thanks less to his inept manager than to a case of mistaken identity that lands him a run of packed rooms, a record deal and the possibility of love. The same confusion, of course, is about to put his life’s work at risk. Gregori Viens wrote the ninety one minute American comedy with Henry Phillips, who plays himself in it, and it won the audience award at Slamdance in 2009.
