Geetha Rani was an officer in the army and took voluntary retirement. She is then posted as headmistress to a government school in Puthur. The school runs on neglect, indiscipline and corruption; a bribe is asked even for enrolling a child. Geetha Rani sets about changing these things one by one. Against her stand private school owners, officials, politicians and at times her own colleagues. The film tells the rot inside a state school through the resistance of a single person. Pinning change on one person is both the strength of the account and its limit. Jyothika takes the lead, with Hareesh Peradi and Poornima Bhagyaraj also in the cast. Sy Gowtham Raj’s hundred and fifty three minute Indian film was completed in 2019.
