Razzle Dazzle: A Journey into Dance

The film revolves around a dance school. The man who runs it considers himself an artist. His pupils are children who compete. The aim is to reach the final of the country’s biggest dance competition. The routines they prepare are far from usual. One is about corporate greed, another about the environment. The rival teams stay with traditional numbers. Behind the scenes another contest is going on. The mothers are working out their own ambitions more than their children’s. Small rivalries grow. Arguments about the choreography turn into rows. The whole thing is put together in the form of a documentary. The story in it is entirely invented. It is not harsh with what it makes fun of. Ben Miller and Kerry Armstrong appear in the ninety five minute film, an Australian production Darren Ashton finished in 2007.
