Ready for the Grave

Víťa Jakoubek is a sociologist in his thirties. He is badly paid and his life feels closed in. He lives on a housing estate with his wife Jana and their two sons. His days are all the same. A new study starts at the institute. The subject is the attitudes of secondary school pupils. Víťa picks an unusual method. He passes himself off as a teenager and enrols at a school. Only the head teacher knows. The staff and his classmates have no idea. At first it is research. Then going back to being young starts to appeal to him. He begins living a double life. He grows close to Eva from his class. That closeness makes more sense to him than his marriage does. When the truth comes out everything turns over. The director takes the lead role himself. Dana Batulková and Klára Pollertová appear in the ninety six minute film, a Czechoslovak production Milan Šteindler finished in 1990.
