What Red Bracelets: The Beginning Is About
The film tells what came before the series of the same name: the six young people, later inseparable, as they were before they reached the hospital. Leo is a boy who loves playing football with his friends, and his mother is being treated for cancer; Jonas is escaping violence at home; Emma is dealing with an eating disorder and Toni with how hard it is for him to make friends. For Alex everything appears to be fine, which does not last. Hugo, the youngest, ends up in a coma after trying the ten metre board. The friendship formed in the hospital corridors becomes the one thing that makes illness and death bearable. Tim Oliver Schultz and Luise Befort appear in Felix Binder’s hundred and fifteen minute German film.
