What Redhat and Cousin Is About

Kolah Ghermezi is a mischievous schoolboy. His pranks get him expelled and he cannot find work either. When he sees a programme on television that catches his interest he goes to Tehran and, with the help of Pesarkhaleh, reaches the programme and finds its presenter. He likes the man so much that he decides to help him get past the obstacles to his marriage, and only makes matters worse. The film uses a puppet and a live actor inside the same frame and does not hide it. The account is made for a young audience but also makes fun of how the adult world works. Television itself is the story’s second subject. Fatemeh Motamed-Arya appears in Iraj Tahmasb’s ninety three minute Iranian film, completed in 1994.
