Richness of Internal Space

Lázaro is kidnapped. He is shut into a small room. The room is only a few metres across. He has no contact with the outside. He is held there for months. He is under threat the whole time. The possibility of being killed is there every day. The film takes place inside that room. It does not show the negotiations outside. What passes between his family and the kidnappers is left out. The story moves through Lázaro’s mind. Memories and thoughts come. Most of them concern his family. In that narrow place he notices something else. For the first time he counts himself a free man. The story is based on a kidnapping that happened in Mexico in 1991. Kuno Becker and Ana Serradilla appear in the eighty seven minute film, a Mexican production Kai Parlange Tessman finished in 2013.
