Safe House

Mace Sowell is a retired intelligence officer. He has turned his house into a fortress: cameras, alarms, traps. Everyone calls him paranoid, and he really does have something: material that would sink a front-runner for the presidency. There is one problem. Mace is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. His memory goes a little further every day, and the people after him know it. He is trying at once to defend himself and not to forget what he knows. Every morning he has to work out again who is a friend and who is not. Eric Steven Stahl directs the television film; a hundred and twelve minutes, with Patrick Stewart as Mace and Héctor Elizondo and Kimberly Williams-Paisley in the cast. Its idea is simple and it works: remembering is the same thing as staying alive.
