Safe Passage

Miguel, living today in Spain, has a mind held shut by a brain disease in the past, in the Argentina of the seventies, when he risked his life for what he believed. He is fixed on finding a woman named Diana. His son Mario, long kept away from him, feels compelled to unravel the secret behind a name that pursues his father like a curse. The film gives the years of the military dictatorship not as background but as a reckoning carried through to the present. The account does not declare the father a hero and does not turn the illness into a trick of memory. Chino Darin and Miguel Angel Sola appear in Diego Corsini’s hundred and eleven minute film, completed in 2015.
