Sarrainodu

Gana has left the army, drifts without work, and answers every injustice in front of him with his fists. His family wants him married; he believes the system does not work by its own methods and applies his own justice. One day he interferes in the business of Vairam Dhanush, a shady figure in local politics, and the matter turns personal. Boyapati Srinu takes the familiar shapes of Telugu mass cinema to their extremes: slow-motion fights, loud music, hero entrance sequences, and physical impossibilities. The narrative makes no claim to realism and does not hide it. Allu Arjun plays Gana. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are also in the cast. The film was a large box-office success. Who it's for: Viewers who like Telugu mass films, action sequences, and hero-centred narrative. Who it's not for: The violence is exaggerated and constant. The writing of the women and the notion of consent in some scenes are also seriously troubling.
