What Saturnin Is About

Saturnin is a servant who becomes his master’s master. A young man of good background, well brought up and rather conservative, acquires through no fault of his own a servant by that name. Saturnin promptly turns into the real head of the household, and a run of surprising turns begins in a life that had been perfectly quiet until then; they could not be handled without him, if only because without him none of them would have happened in the first place. Jiří Věrčák’s ninety seven minute Czech comedy was adapted from the novel Zdeněk Jirotka published in 1942, with a screenplay by Magdalena Wagnerová and Věrčák. Ondřej Havelka, Lucie Zedníčková and Milan Lasica star.
