Lars is twenty-five, works at a swimming pool and has few prospects. One day he notices a middle-aged man in his neighbourhood getting close to the teenage boys there. When he says something nobody takes it seriously. So Lars decides to prove it himself and approaches Tim, one of the boys the man is seeing. Erik Richter Strand's film is set in a poor district of Oslo. Its subject is the abuse of children and the silence around it. The film details no scene; what it is really about is what rage does. As Lars pushes on he puts the very children he is trying to protect in danger, and being right comes apart from acting rightly. The telling offers neither an easy hero nor an easy lesson.
