Sorry for Kung Fu

Mirjana took refuge in Germany during the war years. With the war over and her visa expired, she comes back to Croatia. Her family lives in a remote and ruined village. She is pregnant. The family is trying to put life together again after the war. They are rebuilding the house. At the same time they are looking for a husband for their daughter. It is a family tightly bound to tradition. To them a woman must have a husband and a child must have a father. The father is expected to be of the same nationality. Mirjana gives birth, and the baby has Asian features. The family and the neighbours are stunned. Her father refuses to accept his grandchild. She has to leave the village with her son. Years later the father falls seriously ill. He asks to see his grandson before he dies. Only then does Mirjana come back. Daria Lorenci Flatz and Vera Zima appear in the seventy minute film, a Croatian production Ognjen Sviličić finished in 2004.
