Soulbound

Gil, twenty years old, questions both himself and the world; he is an orphan raised by his aunt Leila and his uncle César. The life he has built out of his guitar, his poetry and his drinking keeps causing fights at home, and in the end Gil runs away. He leaves behind everything he owns, his security and the only love he has known until then, Leila’s. Wandering with his guitar on his back and with no destination, no money and no friends, he meets Otávio, a music producer, and that meeting changes his life entirely. Caio Sóh’s hundred and five minute Brazilian film asks whether it is possible to open up to something new without letting go of the past. Emílio Dantas and Remo Rocha appear, with Palomma Duarte and Roberto Bomtempo in the cast, and it was completed in 2011.
