On some slopes skiing sits at the edge of what a sport can be. The documentary tells the history of that edge. It starts with Bill Briggs. In 1971 Briggs climbed to the summit of the Grand Teton. Then he skied down from it. That had not been done before. The film runs from that day to the present. Names from the Alps come into the story too. Anselme Baud and Stefano De Benedetti are among them. Doug Coombs won the world extreme skiing title twice. Chris Davenport and Shane McConkey are in the film as well. Ingrid Backstrom is there among the women who ski it. The actor Peter Krause narrates, with the ski historian Louis Dawson. It screened on 16 January 2007. The ninety two minute film is an American production Mark Obenhaus finished in 2007.
