Sufna

Jeet is a young man drifting through his village. He has neither a job nor a goal. Village life runs the same way for him day after day. Then Teg arrives from another village. She has come to pick cotton in the fields. After meeting her Jeet starts looking for a direction. Teg pushes him to work and to aim at something. She is growing up in her uncle’s house. Her mother was Muslim and died when Teg was small. Her father served in the army and the family says he is lost. Teg believes he is alive and will come home. Jeet comes from a poor household himself. Money and class stand between the two of them. The film measures the distance between a life imagined and a life lived. Ammy Virk and Tania appear in the one hundred forty four minute film, an Indian and American production Jagdeep Sidhu finished in 2020.
