A summer in Neukölln, Berlin. Lukas, Julius, Gino and Sanchez are around fifteen, and their days pass between the housing blocks, school and the street, in the shadow of dealers and gangs. Because of a debt they plan to steal computers from their school, and the plan they think is certain changes all their lives. Adapted from Felix Lobrecht's novel about his own childhood. Wnendt neither romanticises the neighbourhood nor makes it uniformly dark; there is friendship and joking as well as violence. Heavy slang, and violence and drugs are direct.
